Great Base for Outdoor Adventures

Pros: We really enjoyed the breakfast — absolutely the best part, with homemade products and the warm hospitality of the lady who served us every morning. The location was perfect as a base for cycling and hiking. The pool was very pleasant with a lovely atmosphere, and having easy access to the river behind the hotel was a great bonus. The internet and parking facilities were also good.

Cons: The restaurant menu was quite limited, which made it less appealing for longer stays, and it was expensive considering the portion sizes. The rooms were relatively small, and our view was mostly of the neighboring building’s parking lot. Also, there was no secure storage for bikes, which was surprising given that the hotel caters to guests on active vacations.

Pros: Beautiful location! And so calm! Friendly staff - at the reception and breakfast. Lovely swimming pool, perfect for cooling down. The adjacent restaurant is fantastic.

A lovely hotel in a gorgeous setting.

Pros: Spacious accommodation on two floors with 2 huge beds. Dinner was served with the sliding doors open and the sound of the river running over the rocks was delightful. The setting with views of the hills and the river was magical. The outdoor pool was gorgeous and large swimming towels were provided. The staff were very helpful and friendly and made a big effort to understand our rudimentary French.

Cons: One small detail was the stairs between the living room and bathroom and the upper floor with the beds. There is no hand rail so I had to be very careful especially for a nighttime trip to the loo! The hotel is half an hour's walk from the station and there are literally no taxis in Corte. We travelled by train from Ajaccio but I expect most visitors have hire cars. Lucky for us a local bus that runs up the valley made an unscheduled stop for us right outside the hotel! Another example of the friendly and helpful Corsicans.

Simply fabulous!

Pros: Beautiful property, nestled into the Restonica valley and immediately adjacent to the river, which flowed through the grounds, quite idyllic. Lovely outdoor pool area, which was great for relaxing after a day out hiking. Our room was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We reserved a table at the hotel restaurant on our first night. The menu was amazing, the portions huge and the food delicious. All the staff serving there and the hotel were, without exception, incredibly friendly. On our second night, we opted to drive in to Corte for our meal. Breakfast was a simple, but very ample, selection of cereals, breads, ham, cheese and so forth. It was served on the outdoor terrace, making for a lovely start to the day. Very happy to recommend this hotel and it’s super friendly staff.

Cons: My only complaint was the sliding door between our bedroom and bathroom. It was not flush and slid back on itself, leaving a discernible gap in the doorway and very little privacy!

On the whole it was a very good stay

Pros: We loved the location, perfect for exploring the beautiful river that runs alongside the hotel. We also thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal so pleased we booked a table beforehand

Cons: We didn't like the fact that we couldn't buy a snack from the hotel restaurant / bar when we arrived at 2pm

Pros: This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a spectacular valley. We had a family room which was very comfortable. The bedroom is up a spiral staircase, and the lounge area downstairs was really spacious. We really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic hotel & restaurant in idyllic location.

Pros: Peaceful location next the river. Quiet room. Lovely dinner on terrace. Access to river at end of the garden. Excellent dinner. Lovely staff. Ample parking. Will return!

Cons: A bit of a wait for main course but no major drama.

Just what we wanted down memory lane!

Pros: A return after 29 years to where we stayed for our honeymoon. Little had changes except rooms had been improved. Restaurant was still exceptional.

Cons: Swimming pool was not yet open. New hotel limited view from room.

Perfect stay to explore the Restonica Valley

Pros: Beautiful boutique hotel in the Restonica Valley, Pet friendly, great breakfast and very friendly staff!
