Entre Ciel et Mer hotel

Pros: This small but very exclusive hotel on the edge of the old town of Bonifacio with an absolutely unique view of the chalk cliffs offers everything you could wish for - a magnificent view, if you like, from the balcony, where in the early morning you have the still quiet, almost mystical old town and the view of the massive white rock face, the roaring sea and the view of the lighthouse all to yourself. The lovingly selected breakfast in the shade of the sun-drenched terrace on the top floor, as well as the sensitively furnished rooms, made our last two days an unforgettable stay. Many thanks to our two very obliging hosts.

Absolutely recommend this divine hotel. The building, location, staff complement Bonifacio superbly.

Pros: Beautiful hotel, designed with a quiet elegance. Lovely, friendly staff who willingly take the extra steps to ensure that guests feel both welcomed and comfortable, and that your stay in Bonifacio goes well. My room was spacious and very comfortable. Loved seeing the sea and cliffs. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The location on the terrace is superb. Everything about this hotel is done with great care and consideration. The location in the old town is awesome and does come with the physical challenges mentioned by others, so take note if you’re not physically able. However, for everyone else, I am in the higher end of 60s and managed the stairs without a problem. In fact, I found them fun and part of staying in the old town. Luggage isn’t a problem as they carry it for you.

Best way to enjoy Bonifacio

Pros: My best breakfast location ever, with a beautiful panorama. The hostess was very nice and helpful and also flexible about our check-out time. The location is just perfect, but not for people with knee issues, as the stairs are a bit steep/this is a general issue in Bonifacio, though. Could be a perfect romantic get-away for couples.

Pros: Läget och utsikten var fantastisk och likaså de som drev hotellet. Kul, gammal byggnad med en brant trapp in i huset. Dem vinschade upp vår resväska, vilken service!

Pros: La chambre spacieuse, la vue sur les falaises , la propreté . Les gérants agréables . Le petit déjeuner avec superbe vue et bien garni .

Cons: Les deux chambres étaient au niveau des ruines juste devant qui sont sans arrêt visitées et du coup obligé de fermer les rideaux pour avoir de l'intimité dans la chambre, donc plus de vue sur les falaises. Les escaliers pas évidents pour les personnes en surpoids ou âgées . La caution 500€/chambre en espèces ( en CB serait plus appréciable )

Pros: Vue incroyable. Petit bijou. Juste l'escalier pour y accéder est très raide.

Ontbijt met adembenemend uitzicht in Bonifacio.

Pros: Fijne kamer met balkonnetje met mooi uitzicht over de citadel en zee. Kamer was kraakhelder, prima bed, heerlijke dikke, geurende handdoeken en beddengoed. Fantastisch verzorgd ontbijt met het mooiste uitzicht dat ik ooit heb gezien. Victoria is een lieve zorgzame gastvrouw.

Cons: Er zijn nog wat aandachtspunten zoals de toegangstrap en de schaarse verlichting, dat moet snel aangepast worden. Een electriciteitsmeter op de kamer die ‘s nachts onophoudelijk knipperde was hinderlijk. Dat moet afgeschermd worden door er bijvoorbeeld een kast voor te plaatsen. Bij aankomst bleek sprake van een electronische sleutel. Het had nogal wat voeten in de aarde om de app te installeren en te activeren. Het is prettig om na een lange autorit en het te voet zoeken naar de locatie om de gasten eerst een glas water aan te bieden en even bij te komen. Bij aankomst was het onduidelijk waar de entree was, dit moet duidelijk worden aangegeven. Telefonisch contact opgenomen en direct voicemail, werd wel snel teruggebeld en Victoria kwam na enkele minuten. Het is prettiger als iemand je buiten opwacht of er een bord is waar je je kan melden/bellen. Het is aan te bevelen dat er een bagage service wordt aangeboden. Het zelf sjouwen van de bagage door de steile straten in de Citadel vond ik als (fitte) 60 plusser een ware work-out. Nog een tip: zelf ben ik geen fan om met onbekenden mijn ontbijt aan dezelfde tafel te nuttigen. Liever een apart tafeltje dekken. Gelet op verbeterpunten is het kamertarief aan de stevige kant. Victoria en haar partner zijn jonge enthousiaste ondernemers met gevoel voor details. Als ze de verbeterpunten uitvoeren, hebben ze een goud in handn.

Nous allons revenir prochainement, c'est sûr.

Pros: Merci beaucoup, cher hôtel Entre-ciel-et-mer, pour l'accueil chaleureux et le check-in avancé le matin. Notre séjour était un plaisir exceptionnel, tout était parfait, la suite spacieuse, très propre, bien équipé, avec une décoration joliment bien concordé. La situation en haute-ville est authentique dans une ambiance de moyen-âge.

Cons: directions should have been better as it is hard to find. extremely steep flights of stairs to lodging. also the wifi key system made me nervous.
